Since losing 110 pounds, I finally went out and bought new bras. I had some that have been long gone, not worth donating or passing on, but I had bought some bigger ones that were of really good support and quality from Fashion bug that had never fit me right at my biggest size, so when I lost 20-30 pounds, those fit me and I have been making them last all this time. Fashion Bug is having a Buy Two Get One Free sale, plus I had some coupons, so I went to check them out today. I ended up going from a 44DD to a 40C. I really thought I'd be a 38D, not that it's that much difference but the 40C ended up being the last size I tried on, because I didn't expect it to go that way. I had asked to be measured, the salesperson said okay, but seemed reluctant, and said "I haven't done it in a long time" so I just said that I would try them on. I'm kind of glad I did it that way, so I could judge by looks and comfort, not being ruled by a number and a letter. I ended up buying 6, plus I got a FABULOUS short spring trench coat, size large, and two clearance items, a basic long sleeved shirt and a sweat jacket, both only 4.98 each. I spent $112, which I thought was a really good deal for getting a coat and 6 really good quality bras. Good shopping trip!
Went out to El Charro's with my high school buddies, Amy and Kim, plus our other two friends Darla and MaryJo. I ordered a soft taco and beans, and a sangria/margarita swirl. Had half the drink and some chips and salsa. Ate the beans, then was too full to eat the taco, so I brought it home. Amy's dad was having some medical issues, so she had to leave early. I gave MaryJo some of my old clothes, I put on my new coat and discovered the security tag inside the pocket, so I had to go back to Fashion Bug and have them take it off. It never beeped on the way out, but I beeped on the way in, which was kind of funny.
I found out today that our dear cousin, Uncle Lowell, passed away back in November. He and Aunt Rosie (who is my dad's first cousin) lived in Lake Tahoe and we were very close to them when my parents helped take care of their aging parents. They would come visit, and my parents went out to visit them a few times, even taking me along one time. They had an old station wagon and a great dog named Murphy. They were very down-to-earth people. Aunt Rosie died first (though I am a bad judge at exactly how long ago) and Uncle Lowell was 85 when he died in November. When the doctor told him to get his affairs in order, he lived less than a month after that. May he rest in peace, in the loving arms of Jesus, and joyfully reunited with his beautiful wife.
Tomorrow is Easter, and we are having brunch at Roger's Roost with Glen's parents and Rochelle's family. We will go visit my dad after that and hopefully do an Easter Egg Hunt somewhere in there.
